Taipei may be the country’s most advanced IT destination, but also boasts of night markets, street festivals, food stands, and carnival like attractions.  Come weekend, and you will find colorful floral markets, and the Taipei Jade Market, situated in city center.  Located in the suburbs of Taipei city, you will find the National Palace Museum, the world’s best collection of Asian antiquities, historical Imperial artifact housed in Beijing’s Forbidden City prior to the Communist takeover.
It is a definite must for any Taipei visitor.

Climate wise, Taiwan is of a subtropical climate, except in the mountains.  It is most advisable to dress light throughout the year and bring along some warmer clothing during the winter season.  The best time to visit will be during the Fall season when the climate is moderate and dryer.
